What People Are Saying About Carolyn

Having known Carolyn through our mutual involvement on the Pleasant Park PS Parent Council for many years, I can attest to her leadership skills, fine judgement and excellent work ethic. And as shown by her leadership in the formation of and continued involvement in Màmawi Together, she has reached outside the usual school community space to see through a more inclusive and broader lens regarding Ward and City issues. Her fair and non-partisan judgement and endless energy will serve her well as Alta Vista’s next Councillor!

Extreme frustration at a long term care home where my husband was led me in desperation to my MPPs office. Carolyn Kropp, my MPP’s assistant, handled my case with diplomacy and a very strong sense of justice. She gave extra time to accommodate my senior years by coming to my place after office hours for paperwork on documents. The end result was my husband, who had severe dementia, was extremely happy with the change for the better. He spoke these words: “I love it, I love it!” with the biggest and happiest smile. Thank you Carolyn.
With Carolyn as our Councillor, Alta Vista will have the most caring, hard working and understanding person representing each and every individual living in Alta Vista.

I told you a long time ago I would vote for you thanks to your help in the MPP’s community office. I hope you get in and I hope you bring about some good change for the City. We didn’t always agree on everything but I do say one thing, you do try to get stuff done and that’s what we need in a Councillor. Good luck!

Carolyn Kropp Alta Vista – Ward 18 – Welcome

Vision

Alta Vista needs a strong Councillor who will listen and always represent the views of residents on Council.  Citizens need a strong Councillor who cares for the community and who will work hard to strengthen services that will help improve quality of life.  Your Councillor should help you navigate City Hall, find answers to your questions, and solutions to your challenges. I will be that Councillor for Alta Vista Ward.

I am continuously talking to residents, listening to their concerns and identifying possible solutions.  I have pursued this passionately through my professional career and my many volunteer roles in the community.  These many conversations have formed the basis of my vision for a safe, prosperous, and thriving community.

Issues in the Community

These are the common and pressing issues for Alta Vista residents that have been repeated at every door I have knocked:

Roads and Traffic

Affordable Housing

Parks and Recreation

Transit

Crime and Community Safety

Environment

Planning and Development
